2016-2017 Expert report about the EID Minex / Zeltweg
Due to expected hydro-chemical and fish-ecological impacts, a planned smelting plant of MINEX GmbH in Zeltweg was subject to an environmental impact declaration. In order to improve the environmental compatibility of the project, DWS Hydro-Ecology evaluated the available EID reports and provided ecological consulting for the client.

2012-2013 Environmental impact statement gravel quarry Untersiebenbrunn
Tasks: The aim was to record a component report for the division water ecology in the course of the environmental impact declaration for sand and gravel aquisition of the gravel quarry Untersiebenbrunn GmbH. Beside hydro-geological issues, also the following limnological (water-ecological) topics were to be assessed: the prospective trophic delvelopment of dredging in the context of an eutrophication prognosis as well as a possible impact on other water wells by the dredging.

2003 Expertise on the fishery use of Lake Ratzersdorf
Lake Ratzersdorf, situated North-East of St. Pölten, is one of the most important recreational areas near the capital of Lower Austria and intensively used for bathing. Besides, it is used extensively for fishing, which was however not allowed under existing water law permit. The local fishing association asked for a expert opinion on possible impacts of fishery on the water quality of Lake Ratzersdorf.
Tasks: Limnological charakterisation on the basis of existing data (water quality, chemistry and biology), calculation of a nutrient balance, assessment of impacts of the fishery use
